Schedule: This is an in-person position, Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with flexibility to meet program needs, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Wage Range

Unlicensed (QMHP): $33.60 – $39.90 hourly, Non-Exempt

Licensed: $75,600.00 - $87,150.00 annual salary, Exempt

Position Overview

The Adult Mental Health Therapist: Assessment & Group Specialist will provide intake and assessment services for new clients seeking mental health services. Hours of work are flexible to meet program needs. This position will provide both in-person and telehealth services depending on clinical and program needs.

What you will do

Provide mental health assessments for individuals entering services at various NARA NW sites, depending on the clinical need, primarily at our Clinic Sites (Wellness Center and Indian Health Clinic), as well as at our Addictions Sites (Adult Residential and Outpatient Treatment Centers).

In some instances, may provide very short-term, interim MH services for some clients until they are connected with a Mental Health Therapist.

Run mental health groups for Adults across various NARA NW sites on a weekly basis.

Refer clients for the appropriate level of care at one of our sites.

Complete suicide risk assessment for all clients entering services.

Complete written diagnostic assessments and impressions, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries and other documentation in required timeframes. Create realistic, measurable treatment plans.

Complete treatment plans including developing measurable outcomes.

Provide crisis intervention services as needed including referral and follow-up.

Participate in community mental health awareness and community outreach programs of NARA NW.

Provide referral, follow-up, and outreach services as-needed.

Refer to internal and external resources as clinically indicated.

QualificationsWe would like to hear from people that have:

Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.

Certified as QMHP in Oregon through MHACBO and/or associate license with the corresponding licensing board (CSWA, Professional Counselor Associate, LMFT Associate, or Psychologist Resident).

Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients, the community, and other staff members.

Must pass a pre-employment or for cause drug tests.

Must pass criminal background and DMV checks

License in Oregon as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist preferred.

Alcohol and Drug Counseling Certification preferred.

Experience working within the Native American/Alaska Native community preferred.

Two years paid experience as Mental Health Specialist preferred.

Dual diagnosis experience preferred.
