Provides comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing electrophysiology and structural heart procedures, including pre-procedure assessment and post-procedure recovery. Responsibilities include circulating, scrubbing in, and collaborating with physicians to implement individualized care plans.
Requires a Registered Nurse license in Michigan and an Associate's Degree in Nursing, with BLS and ACLS certifications. Candidates should have 2 years of critical care experience, with a preference for 1 year of experience in an electrophysiology lab.
This position cares for patients before, during and after an electrophysiology procedure. This position cares for Structural heart (including Watchman), Lead extractions, ablations, Vascular and EP pacemaker / device patients. This includes pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation of procedural process, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, mapping, post-procedure care and patient education.�
(35%) Performs nursing care for the above outlined procedures, but not limited to:

(35%)�Circulate and assists during cases, including sterically drop procedural supplies on tray, scrubbing in the case, running for supplies.

(15%)�Records all pertinent information on appropriate data sheets.

(15%)�Assists Radiologic Technologists circulate cases, sterically drop procedural supplies on tray.

Collaborates with physicians to provide a plan of care for each individualized patient.

Assists in other radiology/cardiology procedures as needed.
