Summary
This position cares for patients before, during and after an electrophysiology procedure. This position cares for Structural heart (including Watchman), Lead extractions, ablations, Vascular and EP pacemaker / device patients. This includes pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation of procedural process, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, mapping, post-procedure care and patient education.�
Responsibilities
(35%) Performs nursing care for the above outlined procedures, but not limited to:

(35%)�Circulate and assists during cases, including sterically drop procedural supplies on tray, scrubbing in the case, running for supplies.
�
(15%)�Records all pertinent information on appropriate data sheets.
�
(15%)�Assists Radiologic Technologists circulate cases, sterically drop procedural supplies on tray.
Assists in other radiology/cardiology procedures as needed.
�
Performs clinical functions as needed.
�
Delegation and coordination of tasks and assignments of nursing care
�
Assumes the responsibility for processional growth by seeking out educational
opportunities and utilizing programs in the hospital.
�
Precepts / mentors new employees and students.

Knowledge of critical care nursing as normally acquired through 2 years� experience working in a Medical Center or similar setting.

Preferred: Electrophysiology skills as gained through a minimum of 1 year of experience working in an electrophysiology lab environment

Able to wear personal protective equipment that includes wearing lead and latex materials or appropriate substitute if required for your position.

Overall vision and hearing is necessary with or without assisted device(s).

Frequently required to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time. May require frequent postural changes such as stooping, kneeling or crouching.
