The Patient Transporter is responsible for the safe, timely, and respectful movement of patients between various hospital departments. This includes assisting with transfers using stretchers, wheelchairs, or beds while maintaining high standards of care and confidentiality.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with 0-6 months of relevant experience preferred. Candidates must possess the physical ability to lift and move patients and equipment, including the ability to exert up to 50 lbs of force.
Transport patients to and from departments in a safe, timely, and respectful manner.
Assist with patient transfers involving stretchers, wheelchairs, or beds as appropriate.
Respond promptly to transport requests from clinical areas.
Ensure cleanliness and functionality of transport equipment.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to ensure seamless and comfortable transitions for patients.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compassionate and professional demeanor.
Physical ability to transport patients safely and efficiently.
