Collect venous and capillary specimens using standard operating procedures and aseptic techniques in various clinical settings. Perform bedside testing, manage Laboratory Information System functions, and prepare specimens for analysis.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited phlebotomy certificate course. Candidates should have between 0 to 6 months of relevant work experience.
Draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. May prick finger to draw blood. May conduct interviews, take vital signs, and draw and test blood samples to screen donors at blood bank
Education: High School Degree or Equivalent Work Experience: 0-6months. Credentials: Completed Accredited Phlebotomy Certificate Course.
