Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Parking Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of parking operations, including parking enforcement, garage facilities, on-street metered parking, and maintenance services. This includes managing staff, ensuring operational efficiency, delivering excellent customer service, maintaining facilities and equipment, monitoring revenue control systems, enforcing parking regulations, and ensuring compliance with contractual and municipal requirements. The role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to maintain high service standards while meeting financial and operational goals.
QualificationsKey Responsibilities
Operations Management
Oversee daily parking operations across enforcement, garage facilities, on-street meters, and maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with company policies, municipal ordinances, and contractual agreements.
Direct parking enforcement operations, including route planning, citation issuance, and appeals processes.
Monitor parking facilities to ensure optimal space utilization, revenue generation, and customer satisfaction.
Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for parking facilities and related infrastructure.
Maintain and troubleshoot parking equipment, meters, pay stations, and enforcement technology.
Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and safety.
Utilize KPIs to ensure success of parking program
Staff Management
Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate parking enforcement ambassadors, attendants, maintenance personnel, and administrative staff.
Prepare schedules to ensure adequate staffing for enforcement, facility operations, events, and maintenance tasks.
Provide leadership, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure team effectiveness.
Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and accountability.
Financial & Revenue Oversight
Monitor daily revenue reports for parking facilities
Reconcile cash/credit card transactions and investigate discrepancies.
Assist in preparing and managing budgets to meet operational and revenue goals.
Implement strategies to enhance collection rates and reduce revenue loss.
Customer & Client Relations
Act as the primary liaison with city officials, municipal clients, and the public regarding enforcement, operations, and maintenance.
Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and disputes in a timely manner.
Maintain positive relationships with vendors, contractors, and municipal partners.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure operations comply with local parking laws, safety standards, and workplace regulations.
Maintain detailed operational and enforcement records for audits, inspections, and reporting.
Stay updated on parking industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Special Events & Projects
Plan, coordinate, and execute parking operations for special events, including staffing, signage, enforcement, and traffic control.
Manage facility upgrades, meter replacements, and technology implementations.
Working Conditions
Full‐time, exempt position with occasional evenings or weekends based on operational needs
Combination of office work and frequent site visits across parking facilities
