Munich Re Automation Solutions are the market leader in providing new business processing and underwriting automation solutions to the life insurance industry. The Automation Solutions division of Munich Re delivers exceptional solution-based expertise that enables straight through processing (STP), increases sales and reduces costs for life insurers worldwide.

In this role, you will be designing and implementing patterns to deploy, build and monitor a suite of cloud-based applications across multiple cloud platforms using an array of cutting-edge technologies.

Day to day you will be deploying, automating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and monitoring multiple products across multiple clouds. You will ensure that SLAs and SLOs are met and will ensure releases to production meet the platform engineering’s team standards

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud-based infrastructure solutions using AWS or Azure
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to manage cloud resources and ensure high availability
  
• Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure to ensure performance and security
  
• Collaborate with development teams to implement and maintain cloud-based applications
• Develop and implement disaster recovery and backup solutions for cloud infrastructure
• Perform regular security audits and implement best practices to secure cloud infrastructure
• Stay up to date with new cloud technology developments and provide recommendations for improving the platform

• Creating and maintaining flexible and robust automated build and deployment solutions
  
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning

Nice to have
Diverse technical background that includes Linux administration, containerization, cloud design and optimization, network administration, and DevOps with an emphasis on an automation first approach.
