Position Summary
The Branch Manager – Business Development & Ops Manager is responsible for driving branch growth through business development, customer relationship management, and strategic leadership while maintaining oversight of branch operations. This role serves as the face of the company within the local market, focusing on acquiring new business, expanding existing customer relationships, and ensuring operational excellence through effective leadership of the branch team. The ideal candidate is a growth-minded leader who balances sales strategy and customer engagement with operational accountability.
Primary Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Leadership
Develop and execute a local growth strategy to increase revenue and market share.
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the territory.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic accounts.
Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen partnerships and uncover growth opportunities.
Partner with the sales team to develop account strategies and support major sales initiatives.
Participate in networking events, industry associations, and community activities to increase company visibility.
Collaborate with leadership on pricing strategies, market trends, and competitive analysis.
Maintain a robust sales pipeline and track business development activities and results.
Drive customer retention initiatives and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Leadership & Branch Management
Lead and develop branch employees while fostering accountability and teamwork.
Communicate company objectives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and employee development.
Manage branch financial performance, including revenue growth, expenses, and profitability.
Review branch KPIs and implement action plans to improve performance.
Support employee engagement initiatives and cultivate a positive culture.
Operational Oversight
Provide strategic oversight of branch operations, inventory, and customer service functions.
Ensure customer orders and service commitments are executed effectively.
Support resolution of escalated operational or customer service issues.
Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Oversee safety initiatives and promote a safe working environment.
Support facility maintenance and branch administrative responsibilities.

Education & Requirements
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
7+ years of experience in branch operations, business development, distribution, warehouse, purchasing, or related leadership role
Proven track record of generating new business and growing customer relationships.
Experience leading teams and managing branch performance.
Strong understanding of distribution, industrial packaging, or B2B sales environments preferred.
Working knowledge of operational processes and safety regulations preferred.
