Full job description
Be part of shaping the future of digital innovation in Australia’s leading property group.
Mirvac is on a mission to create exceptional places and experiences – and data is central to how we unlock better decisions, stronger performance and smarter digital experiences. We’re looking for a Product Manager, Data Solutions to define and drive the vision, strategy and roadmap for data products that enable trusted insights and measurable business value across Mirvac.
This role will be accountable for shaping data product priorities across our Enterprise Data Solutions capability, working closely with Data & Analytics engineering teams, architects, analysts and business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data models, reporting, dashboards and insight solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity to help mature product management in Mirvac’s data landscape. You’ll bridge business and technical teams, lead the end-to-end lifecycle of data products, and drive the evolution of our data strategy and roadmap – including trusted data foundations, new source onboarding, modelling for business insights, and emerging opportunities such as conversational AI for data insights.
If you love translating complex data and business problems into clear product direction, influencing senior stakeholders, and helping organisations make faster, more confident decisions through data, this is the role for you.
Sample roadmaps and projects include:
Evolving Mirvac’s data strategy and roadmap, working closely with Data & Analytics engineering teams and distributed insights analysts from across the business.
Identifying, shaping and piloting high-value use cases for conversational AI on data insights, helping business users access trusted answers more intuitively.
Developing the roadmap for onboarding new data sources and defining the modelling required to support strategic reporting, analytics and business insight outcomes.
Improving data quality, governance, adoption and confidence in enterprise data products so leaders can make faster, more trusted decisions.
Partnering with technical teams to shape scalable, secure and reusable data products, data models, dashboards and insight solutions across Mirvac.
What you’ll be doing
Partner with business leaders, Enterprise Data Solutions, data engineers, data modellers, analysts, architects and delivery teams to define and drive data product vision, strategy and roadmaps.
Identify, assess and prioritise data and insight opportunities that improve decision-making, operational performance and customer outcomes.
Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of data products – from discovery and opportunity framing through to delivery, adoption, optimisation, benefits realisation and retirement.
Act as the translation layer between highly technical teams and business stakeholders, turning complex data concepts into clear product direction, requirements and priorities.
Shape and maintain prioritised backlogs for data products, data models, dashboards, reporting capabilities and insight solutions.
Work closely with Data & Analytics engineering teams to support scalable, secure and reusable data foundations, integrations, modelling and reporting outcomes.
Define product success measures, adoption metrics and value realisation outcomes, using these to inform prioritisation and continuous improvement.
Promote strong data product practices including experimentation, hypothesis-led delivery, user feedback, benefits tracking and iterative improvement.
Partner with the business on data governance and quality priorities, helping collect, prioritise and manage requirements related to trusted, reliable data products.
Identify pragmatic opportunities across analytics, automation and AI, including conversational AI use cases that improve access to trusted data insights.
Act as the central point of alignment across stakeholders, delivery teams and technical specialists to manage dependencies, trade-offs, risks and decisions.
Champion data literacy, product thinking and adoption of enterprise data capabilities across the business.
Influence senior stakeholders through clear updates, workshops, presentations and evidence-based recommendations.
Operate effectively in a complex and ambiguous environment, adapting strategies and priorities as needed while keeping teams aligned to outcomes.
Stay informed on emerging trends in data, analytics, AI and product management, and identify opportunities that are practical and valuable for Mirvac.
What you’ll bring
5+ years’ experience in data product management, analytics product ownership or a similar role delivering data, analytics or insight products that solve business problems and deliver measurable value.
8+ years’ experience across Business Intelligence, Data & Analytics or related enterprise data environments.
Ability to translate complex business, decision-making and data requirements into product roadmaps, prioritised backlogs and clear delivery outcomes.
Strong understanding of product management practices, including discovery, prioritisation, roadmap development, iterative delivery, benefits tracking and product analytics.
Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams across business stakeholders, data and analytics, architecture, delivery and technology teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to use data to frame opportunities, assess outcomes and inform prioritisation.
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including the ability to align senior leaders around value, trade-offs, risks and priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical data concepts in clear, business-friendly language.
Working knowledge of Power BI, Snowflake and other modern data platforms.
Understanding of privacy, security, risk and governance considerations relevant to enterprise data products.
Familiarity with agile delivery and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Experience in property, asset-intensive, finance, operations or complex enterprise environments.
Curiosity about emerging technology across analytics, automation and AI, with a practical mindset for identifying high-value use cases.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
