Description

Job Title: Inside Sales/Customer Service

Location: 4500 W Cortland

Department: Sales

Reports To: Carlos Rivera

Employee Type: Full Time - Exempt

Job Purpose:

Build and maintain relationships with assigned customers. Seek new distribution for Milton where applicable and/or assigned. Add new product categories and additional products where applicable for all customers. Offer customer service and technical assistance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
  • Identifies revenue opportunities within customers through communications, programs, and other activities as needed.
  • Ensures prospect identification, planning, account qualification and needs analysis at all levels.
  • Responds to requests from customers for information and other needs.
  • Engages in technical discussions with potential clients through demonstrations and presentations.
  • Remains knowledgeable and up to date on changes and developments in the B2B infrastructure and e-commerce channels.
  • Keeps management informed of all activities, including timely preparation of reports.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Work with accounts and ensure their websites have the most current A+ content.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office and use of CRM.

Working Conditions:

  • None: The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (as in typical office or administrative work).

Physical Requirements:

  • Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.
  • Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
  • Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
  • Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.
  • Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
  • Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching, particularly that of fingertips.
  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and making fine discriminations in sound.
  • Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field, or equivalent experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales or sales support role

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mechanical or technical field

Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships

Experience identifying and developing new sales opportunities, including cold calling and lead follow-up

Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal

Comfortable engaging in technical discussions and product demonstrations with clients

Familiarity with B2B sales environments and e-commerce platforms

Proficient in using standard office equipment and tools, including Microsoft Office

Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and work independently

Willingness to travel occasionally as needed
