Lead manufacturing quality activities and maintain the Quality Management System for custom-engineered oil-filled distribution transformers. Act as a liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing, and Customers to ensure products meet design and industry standards.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field with over 5 years of experience in quality engineering. Proficiency in quality tools like FMEA, SPC, and ISO 9001 standards is essential.
Description
The Quality Control Engineer is responsible for leading manufacturing quality activities and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS) for the production of custom-engineered oil-filled distribution transformers. This position provides technical leadership for product quality, process quality, nonconformance management, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing operation.
The role serves as a key liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Customers to ensure products meet design requirements, customer specifications, applicable industry standards, and company quality objectives. The Senior Quality Control Engineer is expected to drive quality excellence in an Engineer-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing environment while supporting operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to access and navigate each department in the Office and Factory Floor.
· Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
