Job Overview

Mercy Ridge, an upscale retirement community located in Timonium, Maryland is home to over 550 Independent Living residents and 48 Assisted Living residents that is looking for a Dining Services Supervisor to join our management team. This is a wonderful career opportunity for a hands-on supervisor with dining experience in healthcare. 

Responsibilities

• Assists with the development, training and dining orientation of all new Servers.
• Assists with scheduling shifts, performance evaluations and counseling/disciplining of employees in accordance with company policies and procedures. 
• Ensures resident satisfaction with prompt and friendly service.
• Inputs orders in the POS system, troubleshoots and corrects any errors created by staff. 
• Ensures the dining venue is well stocked with supplies, clean and ready for resident/guest dining experience. 
• Requires filling in as Manager on Duty for any/all Dining Venues as needed. 

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in a supervisory role. 
• Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly with employees, residents, family members, visitors and the general public.
• Position requires knowledge of a variety of computer software applications.
• Must possess and exhibit a strong positive attitude toward customer service and have a genuine interest in the senior population and uphold the philosophy of the community.
• Must be attentive to detail in all aspects of the job.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
