Job Summary: Caresense- Lansdale is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSP). As a DSP, you will provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. This is a part-time, and PRN (as needed) position at our facility in Downingtown, Pennsylvania.
Compensation & Benefits: This is a part-time day shift hourly healthcare/medical job with a starting pay of $17.50 per hour. Employees will be paid biweekly and also have access to a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, paid time off (full-time employees only), and career advancement opportunities.
Responsibilities: - Provide personalized care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to help them achieve their personal goals and maximize their independence. - Assist with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and medication management. - Support individuals in participating in community activities and events, promoting socialization and community integration. - Maintain accurate and detailed records of individual progress, behavior, and any incidents. - Maintain a safe and clean living environment for the individuals in our care. - Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and families to ensure the highest level of care for our clients.
Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent is required. - Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. - Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. - Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening. - Must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members and individuals with disabilities. - Must have a compassionate and patient demeanor and a strong commitment to improving the lives of others.
