Role description

This role is based off-site in South Korea, being responsible for existing sales in the country and establishing strong customer relationships as well as developing new customers and opportunities to expand our market share in South Korea. This role involves a high degree of Account Management, including visits to customers, identifying sales opportunities, gathering industry information and managing customer enquiries.

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Achieve the business target in the South Korea region through managing existing sales and sales funnel of new opportunities.

• Expand market share and presence through gaining new customers in South Korea.

• Develop and execute Account Plans utilizing support from the wider team, to include building relationships with key decision-makers as well as long-term strategies for the accounts.

• Provide input to sales forecasts and manage the R&O pipeline with line manager.

• Attend any training at Medix Biochemica global centers of excellence and utilize scientific & product knowledge to competently provide a consultative approach to support customer applications and needs.

• Collect project and product information, sharing feedback to Product Management team.

• Use presentation skills to demonstrate product data & company values to customers and a wider audience.

• Manage the distributor partners to ensure contact compliance that meet pricing, targets & forecast, training & logistics for end customers.

• Collect, update and present market information in South Korea, including competitor profiles, market trend, etc.

• Manage administration functions including customer quotation requests, utilizing & updating activities on CRM and follow up account receivables.

• Collaborating with Global Marketing Team, identifying local marketing activities as well as participating in global events/ expos.
  

Experience and skills

• Minimum a bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field.

• At least 5 years of sales experience for account customer or distributor in the IVD/biopharma industry.

• Passionate, self-motivated, energetic, creative, result-oriented with ability to work independently under pressure.

• Strong team player with ability to be self-sufficient in territory.

• Good business and presentation skills with willingness and ability to learn continuously.

• Travel with customer face to face interaction 60-70%, readiness to also travel to Medix sites when needed.

• A solid understanding of Antibody and Immunoassay is preferred.

• Experience in IVD R&D lab work is preferred.

• Experience in the sales of in-vitro diagnostic raw materials is preferred.

• Fluent in Korean and English.

This is a full-time, home-based position with flexibility to adjust to various global times zones.
