The Delivery Driver sorts and prepares library materials for shipping and delivery while maintaining accurate records. They are responsible for distributing materials, supplies, and equipment to various community libraries and locations.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Ohio driver's license in good standing. Physical ability to lift and transfer 50-pound crates and pass a pre-employment physical is required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING:
The Medina County District Library is seeking a Delivery Driver to join its Facilities department. Sorts and prepares library materials for shipping and delivery; maintains shipping/receiving records; delivers and distributes materials, supplies, and equipment to community libraries and other locations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must possess high school degree or equivalent; valid Ohio driver's license in good standing; be safety conscious and act accordingly; demonstrate the ability to lift and transfer crates of 50 pounds; and ability to follow instructions, work independently and in a team, and maintain schedule. Must pass pre-employment physical to ensure they can perform these physical requirements safely.
Wage: $16.60 per hour; Grade 3
BENEFITS: Vacation, sick leave, personal days, holidays and other benefits based on Union contract; Public Employees Retirement System
HOURS: Part-time; 25 hours per week; 8:00am – 1:00pm Monday – Friday (schedule subject to change based on needs of the library)
OTHER: Union Position
