The CSSD Technician is responsible for providing functional and sterilized instrument sets to the operating theatre and nursing units. They must ensure patient safety by maintaining equipment and adhering to strict infection prevention and control standards.
The position requires a Grade 12 certificate, with a CSSD CPD course being highly desired. Candidates should possess computer literacy and knowledge of stock control and hygiene protocols.

To provide adequate, functional and sterilized instrument sets and packs to the operating theatre and other nursing units in the hospital.
Ensure patient safety by providing adequate, sterile and functional equipment on time.
Ensure optimal care and maintenance of capital equipment to minimize clinical and financial risks.
Ensure cost-effective use of pharmaceutical stock to meet the daily requirements of the operating theatre and other nursing units
Ensure Infection Prevention and Control standards are met according to policies and procedures.
Adhere to standardised workflow processes in order to minimise risks
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Grade 12
DESIRED EDUCATION: CSSD CPD course
ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: None
DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years experience as CSSD Technician
