Responsibilities
The assistant will collect bioacoustic and behavioral data while assisting with data analysis, visualization, and the integration of new analysis pipelines. Additionally, the role involves supporting lab operations, including animal husbandry and histological procedures as needed.
Requirements
Candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree and possess expertise in computational languages such as Matlab or Python. Applicants are required to be Work Study approved at McGill University and demonstrate strong attention to detail.

Position Summary:
Assists in the collection of bioacoustic and behavioral data.
Assists with the analysis and visualization of data.

Education/Experience:
Expertise in coding in Matlab, Python or other computational languages as well as with neural networks, machine learning, Markov models and other computational approaches to biology are important.
Familiar with analysis and data visualization.
Enrolled in an undergraduate degree.
Location: This position is located in Montreal, Quebec and the work for this position is expected to be performed in Quebec.
Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level # (4) qualifier on a scale of 0-4.
