The Patient Care Assistant provides direct support to patients in the emergency observation unit by assisting with activities of daily living and monitoring vital signs. They are responsible for accurate documentation in medical records and reporting patient health concerns to licensed nursing staff.
Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in patient or elder care. Preferred qualifications include certifications such as BLS, Certified Medical Assistant, EMT-Basic, or Nursing Assistant.
