The Line Lead is responsible for coordinating local assembly operations in accordance with the Magpul production schedule.  The line lead must maintain safe working conditions, uphold quality standards, and maintain throughput goals.  Additionally, this position will perform basic, line-level supervision of Magpul production cells and train new associates and assist the Cell Lead in daily administrative tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Coordinates daily and weekly production based on the Magpul production schedule.
• Monitors material flow to the production area; accounts for scrap and unused material both physically and within the work order paperwork process.  
• Completes all necessary work order paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assists the Cell Lead with production reporting, training, and work order coordination. 
• Assists with the onboarding activities of new employees and associates, including (but not limited to) safety processes and procedures, assembly methods, and facility operations.
• Monitors the safety practices of departmental employees and ensures safe practices are followed in all areas.
• Corrects all unsafe situations and acknowledges safe behavior.
• Identifies and elevates conflict before it becomes seriously detrimental to the organization.
• Ability to recognize achievements and opportunities within the line.
• Understands and enforces Magpul quality requirements.
• Ability to be fully cross-trained in the production area of responsibility with a willingness to assist where needed in the production system.
• Continually evaluate process to reduce waste and add value.
• Ability to track and maintain production throughput.
• Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment (temperature changes, dust, equipment, etc.).
• Ability to sit, and/or stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A minimum of 1 year in a high volume assembly environment preferred.

Additional:

• This position reports to the Production Manager.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States for any employer. The applicant must be authorized to receive Technical Data and/or Technology under U.S. export control laws.   Any offer made is contingent on the applicant passing a background check that will include a restricted party screening and, for prospective employees who are Foreign Persons, on the Company obtaining all necessary export licenses.  In addition the applicant will be required to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
