The Early Childhood Assistant delivers developmentally appropriate programs to facilitate children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth. They are responsible for supervising children to ensure safety, maintaining a sanitary environment, and collaborating with the team to implement inclusive curriculum plans.
Candidates must be graduates of an Early Childhood Assistant program or equivalent with experience working with children, including those with special needs. A current Standard First Aid certification and an acceptable Vulnerable Police Record Check are required.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Delivers high quality and developmentally appropriate programs for children to facilitate their physical, social, emotional and cognitive growth. Implements programs and activities that facilitate inclusion and integration of children with special needs. Supports a team environment in the classroom and the Centre. This position is currently based at St. Thomas Aquinas Child Care Centre (636 Glenholme Avenue Toronto, ON M6E 3G9).

SALARY: Teacher [Assistant] Salary Scale (starting $26.46/hour [$48,160-$49,154 per annum (prorated)) with Competitive Benefits Package (health & dental) and paid time off entitlements (including vacation days & float days).
