The Portables Driver is responsible for servicing assigned route(s) with the servicing of portable restrooms, hand wash stations, and other equipment within the Portables Division. The driver represents the company in a safe and respectable manner while servicing customer accounts dispatched to him/her throughout the day and communicating regularly with dispatchers and supervisors.
Reports To
Operations Supervisor
Operate truck in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies
Service portable restrooms, hand wash stations, and other company equipment to the expectations that meet or exceed the company’s standards for service
Complete assigned routes
Communicate with dispatch as route changes or issues arise
Maintain and update route sheets
Conduct pre-trip/post trip vehicle inspections
Maintain and update drivers log sheets
Professional interaction with internal and external customers
Keeping truck clean and operating properly within driver’s ability
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Ability to read and understand a map
Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including
Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays
Good written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers
Previous CDL truck driving experience preferred
Waste industry experience, a plus
Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to work location, department or line of business
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must comply with all components of the CDL / DOT requirements for safe driving and compliance such as proper license class, medical card and MVR requirements
Must speak and understand English well enough to communicate, understand and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals and safety training
