Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Lead Technician to oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of our facility’s mechanical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong troubleshooting abilities, HVAC experience, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-maintained workplace.

The Maintenance Lead Technician will supervise daily maintenance activities, prioritize work orders, coordinate preventive maintenance schedules, and provide technical support to the maintenance team.

Responsibilities

· Lead and mentor the maintenance team while promoting a safe and productive work environment.

· Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

· Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC equipment, refrigeration systems, and building maintenance issues.

· Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal safety regulations.

· Manage daily work orders and maintenance priorities.

· Coordinate outside vendors and contractors when necessary.

· Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment documentation.

· Inspect facilities regularly and recommend repairs or improvements.

· Respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed.

· Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts.

· Train maintenance personnel on proper procedures and safety practices.

Requirements

· EPA Section 608 Universal Certification (Required)

· HVAC Certification preferred (or equivalent HVAC technical training)

· Minimum 5 years of commercial or industrial maintenance experience

· Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience

· Strong knowledge of:

o HVAC systems

o Electrical troubleshooting

o Plumbing

o Refrigeration

o Mechanical systems

o Preventive maintenance

· Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.

· Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

· Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on ladders, rooftops, and in confined spaces when necessary.

· Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

· OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification

· Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS)

· Welding or fabrication experience

· Experience managing maintenance budgets and vendor relationships
