Full job description

Looking to Make an Impact?

At the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada, we believe that defeating blood cancers takes more than skill – it takes the right mindset.

Our fundraising team (Mission Fuel) is:

  • Hungry – We relentlessly pursue growth, build meaningful relationships, and go above and beyond to connect people to our mission.
  • Humble – We put the mission first, embrace collaboration, and learn from every challenge.
  • Smart – We lead with strategy, adapt with agility, and stay focused on long-term impact.

Together, we persevere, innovate, and never give up – because lives depend on it.

Join one of the Top 10 Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Events in Canada.

When you work on Light the Night, you’re not just running a campaign—you’re building a movement. This is one of Canada’s leading peer-to-peer events, uniting thousands of people across the country to walk in solidarity with those affected by blood cancer. As part of the LTN team, you’ll collaborate with powerhouse volunteers, long-time supporters, first-time fundraisers, and families forever changed by a diagnosis. You’ll witness moments of hope, strength, and remembrance—and help raise millions to fund research and patient support.

This is more than a job. It’s an opportunity to lead in your community, grow your skills, and be part of something truly life changing. If you're driven to build meaningful relationships and excited to connect new partners to our mission, we want you on our team.

What We’re Doing:

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) is reshaping the traditional non-profit business model. With a renewed dedication, we are focused on advancing patient and research outcomes while prioritizing the enhancement of our employee experience.

Join us as we redefine the landscape of non-profit work, with a commitment to making a lasting impact on both our mission and the well-being of our team.

Our Core Values…

  • Servant Leadership - We put our patients first. Our leadership style is grounded in the sharing of power for the growth and well-being of our people and the blood cancer community.
  • Lifelong Learning – We see learning as more than professional development, but as a mindset and philosophy to help us constantly adapt, change and excel.
  • Authenticity – We celebrate character and genuineness. We expect, respect, and welcome different opinions, modes of expression and diversity.
  • Shared Achievement – We believe success is a team sport. We care about results, but more importantly, we care how those results are achieved.
  • Freedom & Responsibility - We trust our team. We embrace the freedom of employees to work non-traditional hours if needed, to work from home, and exercise creativity in career goals and development.

What We Will Do Together…

The Campaign Lead, Light the Night (LTN) is a relationship-focused fundraiser responsible for driving revenue growth by retaining, upgrading, and motivating a portfolio of fundraising teams, corporate partners, and sponsors to maximize revenue for the campaign. As the primary point of contact for fundraisers, they ensure teams and partners are supported, inspired, and equipped to exceed their goals.

Working closely with the Campaign Director, the Lead contributes to identifying and engaging new prospects while focusing on the success of their assigned portfolio. Through high-touch stewardship and engagement strategies, they deliver strong year-over-year revenue growth.

Key Areas of Focus...

  • Own and manage an assigned portfolio of fundraising teams, sponsors, and participants, ensuring their retention and revenue growth.
  • Develop tailored engagement plans to motivate and upgrade teams and partners.
  • Collaborate with the Director on new prospecting but remain fully accountable for portfolio performance.
  • Deliver high-touch stewardship to strengthen relationships and maximize impact.
  • Ensure an exceptional participant and partner experience, leading to sustained and increased investment in Light the Night.
  • Achieve specific revenue and retention goals, development plans, cultivation of events, budgets, timelines, and logistics
  • Collaborate with the Regional Community Services Lead to ensure Mission integration across the Region.

What Should You Bring...

  • Use your fundraising experience to build strong relationships with our participants and grow campaign revenue
  • A capacity to engage in face-to-face interactions with community members in Quebec.
  • Ability to participate in evening and weekend events as necessary
  • A history of collaborating within a team that sets ambitious goals and collectively works towards achieving them.
  • The ability to connect, build, and sustain a diverse range of relationships with our community of supporters.
  • The courage to experiment with new ideas and the capacity to lead by example, inspiring others to follow suit.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to contribute to multiple campaigns and events as needed in the region.
  • A commitment to being guided by a bold vision that propels LLSC's mission forward.

What We Offer...

The Campaign Lead position is a vacant role, and this is what we offer:

  • Generous time off, from 15 days starting vacation, to a day off on your birthday, and holiday closures for around two weeks at the end of the year
  • A wide variety of health and benefits including a healthcare spending account, and more.
  • A flexible and hybrid workplace
  • Amazing colleagues and workplace culture

Please note, we are open to non-traditional backgrounds and experience profiles. If you have some of the qualifications but not all and think you have the ability to do the role, please apply.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) is a voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. LLSC funds lifesaving blood cancer research across Canada and worldwide, and provides free information and support services. We won’t stop until there is a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes and myeloproliferative neoplasms and are able to improve the quality of life of people affected by blood cancers and their families by funding life-enhancing research and providing educational resources, services and support. Our strategy to achieve the mission is based on three areas of focus: research, patient support and advocacy. In 2017, we invested almost $7.4 million in the creation of programs and delivery of services to improve the lives of Canadians affected by blood cancers from coast to coast. This investment included a commitment of over $4.1 million in innovative, life-changing research to accelerate new cancer treatments, therapies, and cures; and $3.3 million towards funding patient services, programs and education across Canada. Everything we do is made possible through the generosity of individuals, corporate partners, and foundations. In the last two decades alone, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada has raised $207 million for research and services. We receive no government support.
