This is an opportunity to lead and shape Levande’s Financial Planning & Analysis function, building a structured, forward-looking FP&A capability that supports better decision-making across the organisation.
As the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), you’ll lead a team of four and have broad visibility across Levande, partnering with senior leaders across Development, Operations, Sales, Marketing and corporate functions. You’ll turn financial performance into clear commercial insights and actions for the CFO, Deputy CFO, Executive Leadership Team and Board.
Your focus will be on strengthening budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting and business partnering, while improving cost transparency, financial governance and the quality of information leaders use to make decisions.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Lead, coach and develop Levande’s FP&A team and establish a clear operating rhythm across budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting and business partnering.
- Own and coordinate annual budgets, forecasts and scenario planning across the organisation.
- Provide commercial insight across revenue, operating costs, capex, village performance, development expenditure and corporate costs.
- Strengthen financial reporting and governance, including the quality of analysis supporting CFO, ELT, Board and lender materials.
- Improve forecasting tools, reporting packs, variance analysis and financial processes, including identifying opportunities for automation.

What You Will Be Working On
You’ll lead FP&A business partnering across Levande and provide the analysis, financial narratives and commercial insight that help leaders understand performance, identify risks and opportunities, and make informed decisions. Your key areas of focus will include:
- Owning and coordinating Levande’s annual budgeting, forecasting and scenario-planning processes, including assumptions, consolidation, review and quality control.
- Translating financial results and complex data into clear commercial insights, risks, opportunities and recommended actions.
- Providing analysis across revenue, opex, capex, village performance, development expenditure and corporate costs.
- Delivering high-quality monthly performance reporting that explains actual results, forecast movements, key commercial drivers, risks and required management actions.
- Strengthening financial governance and transparency across capex, development spend, corporate costs and non-recoverable costs.
- Supporting CFO, Board, lender and executive materials with accurate, reconciled and commercially focused analysis.
- Partnering with Treasury, Financial Control and Finance Systems to improve data quality, reporting automation, process control and consistency of management information.
- Leading and developing the FP&A team, creating clear expectations around quality, responsiveness, stakeholder management and commercial discipline.
What Type of Person Will Be Successful
You’ll be an experienced FP&A or commercial finance leader who can move comfortably between detailed financial analysis and senior-level conversations.
You’ll know how to challenge assumptions constructively, identify what is driving performance and translate complex financial information into clear, practical insights for executives and operational leaders.
You’ll bring:
- Senior FP&A, commercial finance or finance business partnering experience within a multi-site operational, real estate or similarly complex environment.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling, management reporting and performance analysis capability.
- Proven experience leading finance professionals, including coaching, workload prioritisation, quality control and stakeholder management.
- The ability to translate complex financial information into clear commercial insights.
- Strong understanding of cost control, capex governance, development economics, revenue drivers and corporate cost management.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability, with confidence working with finance systems, reporting tools and large datasets.
Experience in retirement living, property, development, aged care, infrastructure or another asset-intensive sector would be highly regarded, as would a CA, CPA, CFA or relevant postgraduate qualification and experience preparing Board, lender or investor-facing finance materials.
