Provide training support for DISA Battle Captains and Watch members within a SCIF to ensure secure and stable computer networks. Develop training curricula, performance objectives, and certification standards to maintain mission-critical IT services.
Requires an active SECRET security clearance, IAT-II certification, and a Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience (or Master's with 6 years). Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have knowledge of joint military doctrine and policies.
The Battle Captain’s Trainer position shall provide training support for DISA Battle Captains and members of the Watch located within the SCIF. The trainer will be centrally managed by DISA J-7 but will be assigned to work within the SCIF area within the command centered on their individual skill set or knowledge base. This position will train members of the Watch to provide critical Communications and Information Technology Services and support staff elements and organizations within the DISA Watch
The trainer will provide support to the Battle Captains in their mission to keep threats and vulnerabilities as low as possible by ensuring their computer network is stable, undisrupted and secure. This training position should be able to communicate at the highest command levels internal and external to the command, taking guidance from J-7 Division Chief, J-772 DISA Chief Training Branch, and Joint Director (JDIR) leadership. The SMEs should be able to perform at a level of support for the various functions they perform. The Battle Captain’s Trainer is the training expert for members of the Watch and must be able to work independently with minimum or no guidance.
