The fabricator is responsible for transforming raw solid surface materials into finished countertops by reading blueprints and operating power tools. This includes designing wood backers, joining seams, and polishing surfaces to meet quality specifications.
Candidates should have 1-3 years of fabrication experience and strong mathematical and problem-solving skills. Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs and stand for long shifts is required.
At Lakeside Surfaces, we’re looking for a Solid Surface Fabricator who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and building something real at the end of the day. This is a role for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, someone who would rather be on their feet creating, shaping, and perfecting than sitting behind a desk.
In this position, you’ll transform raw materials into finished products using tools, equipment, and skill. Every cut, seam, and finish reflects your attention to detail and the pride you take in your work. What you build doesn’t just stay in the shop, it ends up in homes and businesses, seen and used every day.

SUMMARY
This position is to specialize in fabricating solid surface (Corian) countertop materials where a significant amount of hand fabrication is required. Many applications will require wood backers be designed and built by the fabricator to support the project after installation.
