The R&D Scientist is responsible for the technological development of new and existing dairy products, managing projects from conceptual stages through plant trials. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality, yields, and production processes while maintaining technical documentation.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Dairy or Food Science with three to five years of related experience. Specialized knowledge in cheese processing, food technology, and statistics is required.

Lactalis USA , part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a R&D Scientist based in Buffalo, New York.
With the help of Team Leader or Director of R&D, the candidate will be responsible for the technological part of projects, to improve existing products or creating new products, within specific product group or channel of business. The R&D Scientist will also organize and implement trials, from conceptual stages through end of the projects, to reach the goals defined by the marketing teams.
