Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repair, and upkeep on a variety of manufacturing equipment, working in the production area, and other systems within our facility that may include plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, both AC/DC voltage, and be capable of troubleshooting issues efficiently. The ideal candidate will have hazardous waste (alcohol & d-limonene) knowledge and be required to work with EHS team as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge with basic tools.
Essential Functions:
Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on facility equipment and systems, including electrical and mechanical systems.
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment and systems, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment and systems are operating efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work requests and inventory of supplies and parts.
Collaborate with other members of the Facilities team to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure personal and team safety during maintenance and repair tasks.
Assist in the planning and execution of facility and manufacturing upgrades and renovations.
Provide recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving measures related to facility maintenance operations.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications (one of the following):
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facility maintenance or operations repair, with a proven track record of hands-on experience.
Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Proficiency with maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Experience with maintaining and troubleshooting industrial equipment.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate with vendors and contractors.
Experience in Mycronic, Ersa, DEK, MPM equipment and other related manufacturing equipment.
Experience with Pick and Place, X-Ray, Reflow Ovens, Screen Printers, and other related manufacturing equipment.
Basic soldering skills.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $82,500 - $153,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
