In this role you’ll operate trains safely and efficiently across the Northland network to meet customer and operational requirements. This is a safety-critical role where your decisions directly support the reliability of our network.
You will:
Operate locomotives in accordance with the Rail Operating Code and KiwiRail standards
Manage train handling including signals, systems, and track conditions
Carry out inspections, brake tests, and fault reporting
Maintain accurate documentation using digital tools
Work a 24/7 rotating roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
Demonstrate leadership in safety leader, professionalism and teamwork
