Responsibilities

Design and develop hardware and software for autonomous medical devices, including schematic capture and PCB layout. Implement circuits for machine vision, sensor signals, and stepper motor mechanisms while utilizing various technologies like ultrasound and robotics.

Requires a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with up to five years of relevant experience. Candidates should possess strong analog and digital design skills along with strong analytical and communication abilities.

Key Tech has all of the opportunities of a large company, and all of the fun of a small one: dog-friendly office, roof deck lunches, casual dress code, employee-owned!  You’ll work on continually new and interesting hands-on medical device design work, learning and advancing your career more in one year than at any other company.  Dedicated, friendly mentors help you at every step of the way.  All of our engineers are provided frequent opportunities for advancement, both technically and in project management.  Get exposure to a diverse set of technologies, constantly learning and building your skills.  Co-design hardware and software to control autonomous medical devices.  Get daily hands-on experience with prototyping and board design, both schematic capture and PCB layout.  Implement circuits that process machine vision, measure ultra-low sensor signals, and drive stepper motor based mechanisms.  Help select single board computers, design wireless, and mobile apps, and learn about dozens of technologies such as ultrasound, IR, and robotics.

Job Qualifications

  • BS or MS Electrical Engineering degree from leading university/college
  • Up to five years of relevant experience
  • Strong analog and digital design skills
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with schematic capture and layout (Altium Designer preferred)
  • Hardware troubleshooting skills
  • Understanding of embedded programming and experience with microcontrollers and FGPAs

 

Salary information: Interns $30-$35 per hour, Entry Level FT Hire $80,000-$95,000. Early career hire up to $110,000.
