The Project Buyer is responsible for sourcing, supplier management, and procurement activities supporting new product development and engineering projects. This role involves partnering with various teams to ensure materials and services meet project timelines and quality standards.
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement. Strong experience with SAP or ERP systems and negotiation skills are also required.
The Project Buyer is responsible for sourcing, supplier management, and procurement activities supporting new product development and engineering projects. This role partners closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to identify and qualify suppliers, negotiate contracts, manage purchasing activities, and drive cost-saving initiatives while ensuring materials and services meet project timelines, quality standards, and business objectives. The Project Buyer also supports supplier onboarding, make-versus-buy decisions, new product introductions, and procurement-related change management activities.
