Lead Quality and Safety systems across multiple commercial IT building clusters, ensuring 100% operational readiness of fire prevention and protection systems. Manage legal compliances, conduct safety trainings, and oversee the development of Occupational Health & Safety and QMS management systems.
Requires 12 to 15 years of professional work experience within a corporate Fire & Safety department. Must have expertise in managing integrated management systems and coordinating with government bodies for statutory compliance.
Role Purpose
A cluster lead, for QHSE to lead the Quality and Safety systems for 2/3 clusters of Commercial IT buildings, Development and Management of the Integrated Management systems, providing technical advice and support to Facility Management operations, responsible for inspection & testing of fire system, HSE & Fire safety legal compliances, liaison with government bodies.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensuring regular inspection, testing & maintenance of fire prevention and protection systems like Fire Extinguishers, hydrants, detection system, sprinkler and other fixed firefighting systems to be in 100% operational readiness at any point of time.
• Ensure adequate number of fire extinguishers available at all complexes.
• Ensure Planning and implementing, fire extinguisher refilling /HPT within due date and maintenance of fire extinguisher register.
• Review and tracking Fire & Safety performance of all complexes.
• Timely submission of Form B to govt. agency half yearly for all buildings in the complexes.
• Ensuring Mock evacuation drill as per NBC norm are conducted and ensure actions are initiated on all observations.
• Ensuring meeting are conducted with all clients ERT team.
• Ensuring trainings on Emergency plan, practicing table top exercises & emergency drills with internal and client ERT teams
• Visiting all complexes regularly and taking random rounds in buildings to check the status of fire safety equipment and compliance of statutory requirements.
• Ensuring Client area inspection including cafeteria inspection are being conducted.
• Ensuring Safety Induction training for all new joiners are being conducted at complexes.
• Ensuring training to employees and outsourced staff on various Safety topics, including Fire safety are conducted in all complexes
• Ensuring Legal tracking are being done at all complexes and provide necessary guidance on legal compliance to sites
• Developing, Reviewing and revising the Occupational Health & Safety & QMS Management systems
Ensuring Quality and OHS risk assessment are being done at complexes.
• Keeping a check on incident investigations in all complexes and closure of the recommendations.
• Ensuring Inspection of Work permit & LOTOTO compliance in complex.
• Ensuring Site Safety Committee meeting (SCM) with vendor and client are being done as per defined frequency.
• Ensuring setting of Quality & OHS Objective for fire & safety for the year and developing plan to achieve objectives.
• Ensuring OHS & Quality management system requirements are being followed and maintained by process owners.
• Co-ordinating and arranging review meeting on sites for review of HIRA, objectives, incident trackers and entire quality & OHS management system.
