Job Details:

Role Overview

The Product Owner for Jonas Encore is accountable for translating product priorities into clear, execution‑ready work that supports the stability, evolution, and modernization of one of Jonas Club Software’s most configurable and operationally critical platforms.

A key competency of this role will be to embrace our AI‑Driven Development Lifecycle (AI‑DLC) to transform how we build software. This concept combines human expertise with AI to accelerate discovery, design, and delivery. Product Managers and Product Owners play a central role by using AI tools to rapidly develop insights, shape requirements, then collaborate closely with Engineering to bring innovative solutions to market with greater speed and precision.

Encore supports complex, real‑world club operations across finance, membership, point of sale, activities, and back‑office workflows. This role ensures delivery teams have precise requirements, clear priorities, and shared understanding while preserving workflow integrity for clubs running mission‑critical daily operations. The Product Owner partners closely with Product Management, Engineering, Hosting, Support, and cross‑platform teams to deliver reliable improvements, integrations, and hosted‑environment enhancements.

Salary range for this role is $80,000-$90,000

Job Responsibilities

Backlog Ownership & Delivery Clarity

  • Own and maintain the Encore product backlog, aligned to platform priorities and roadmap direction
  • Break initiatives into well‑defined user stories with clear acceptance criteria and workflow context
  • Ensure backlog items account for Encore’s highly configurable nature and varied club operating models
  • Maintain backlog readiness to support predictable sprint planning and delivery execution
  • Balance new capability development with technical improvements, hosting considerations, and operational stability

Workflow & Requirements Integrity

  • Translate club, operational, and internal stakeholder needs into detailed, unambiguous requirements
  • Ensure workflows reflect how Encore is used in production environments, including finance, POS, and administrative processes
  • Identify edge cases, configuration impacts, dependencies, and data implications early in the lifecycle
  • Support integration requirements across the Jonas ecosystem (e.g., Payments, Reporting, Hosting, MRM‑aligned services)
  • Partner with Engineering to validate feasibility and avoid unintended workflow regressions in a legacy‑rich platform

Delivery Coordination & Team Enablement

  • Serve as the primary day‑to‑day product contact for Encore delivery teams
  • Clarify scope, requirements, and expected outcomes throughout development
  • Actively remove delivery blockers by resolving requirement gaps and priority conflicts
  • Communicate progress, risks, and scope changes clearly to Product Management and stakeholders
  • Support coordination with Hosting and Infrastructure teams for Encore Hosted initiatives

Release Readiness & Operational Adoption

  • Validate delivered functionality against acceptance criteria and real‑world Encore workflows
  • Ensure release notes, documentation inputs, and internal enablement materials are complete and accurate
  • Support internal readiness across Support, Hosting, and Services teams prior to release
  • Monitor post‑release issues, triage feedback, and coordinate follow‑up work as needed
  • Help ensure Encore releases maintain trust and reliability for clubs running core operations daily

Cross‑Platform & Modernization Awareness

  • Support ongoing alignment between Encore and the broader Jonas platform strategy
  • Contribute requirements and clarity for initiatives impacting shared services such as Payments, Reporting, and Hosting
  • Help evolve Encore in alignment with long‑term UI, hosting, and ecosystem goals while respecting current client realities

Required Experience & Capabilities

  • 3–5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar delivery‑focused product role
  • Strong experience defining requirements for complex, workflow‑driven, or legacy platforms
  • Comfortable working with configurable systems serving diverse customer operating models
  • Proven ability to work closely with engineering teams in an agile delivery environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clarify ambiguity
  • Experience supporting integrated systems, hosted solutions, or enterprise operational software is a strong asset
