About John Holland
At John Holland, our purpose is simple – we transform lives with everything we do.
We’ve always known that infrastructure is about people — our customers, our employees, and the communities in which we work every day.
That’s our difference. Deep experience and capability with a genuine care about creating better lives for people along the way.
Be part of the team that’s up for the challenge of transforming lives for good.
About The Project
The Beveridge Intermodal project is a landmark freight and logistics development in Victoria, set to play a critical role in Australia’s national supply chain. Located in Melbourne’s north, this major infrastructure project will deliver an integrated intermodal terminal, connecting road and rail to improve freight efficiency, reduce congestion, and support long-term economic growth.
Working across a complex delivery environment, the project integrates civil, rail systems, logistics, and community interfaces to create a nationally significant freight hub with long-term social and economic benefits.
About The Role
We are seeking a Social Inclusion Advisor to join the Beveridge Intermodal project team.
This is a dynamic, purpose-driven role focused on delivering meaningful social outcomes across the project. You’ll play a key role in building strong relationships with Aboriginal communities, social enterprises, and training partners, while driving initiatives that enhance diversity, inclusion, and local participation.
Working closely with project teams and stakeholders, you will help embed social inclusion strategies into project delivery and ensure commitments translate into real outcomes on the ground.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain relationships with Aboriginal businesses, community groups, and social enterprises
Engage with Traditional Owner groups to support respectful and meaningful collaboration
Contribute to tender strategies and plans relating to Aboriginal participation and social procurement
Track and report on social inclusion outcomes including employment, training, and participation
Support delivery teams to meet and exceed social inclusion targets and requirements
Connect training organisations (TAFE, RTOs, GTOs, universities) with project opportunities
Facilitate pathways for apprentices, trainees, and undergraduates
Support the implementation of Reconciliation Action Plan initiatives
Coordinate and contribute to culturally significant events such as NAIDOC Week
Provide guidance and support to project teams on social inclusion practices
What We Are Looking For
Experience in social inclusion, community engagement, or stakeholder roles within infrastructure or construction
Understanding of Federal and State social procurement and inclusion frameworks
Experience working with Aboriginal businesses, communities, or organisations
Exposure to social enterprise and not-for-profit sectors
Proven ability to support employment or training pathways for diverse or disadvantaged cohorts
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capability
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively
Passion for driving meaningful social outcomes in major projects

Learning and development opportunities where you’ll have access to emerging talent programs, building your career through clear career pathways, plus technical and leadership training and development opportunities.
