The ambition of the architecture team is to make the right technology decisions for the next generation of digital capabilities. Our technology specialists craft the best-in-class architectural blueprints and focus on application and data architectures, end-2-end integrations, innovation and advanced analytics. You have to possess the ability to look at the big picture but also to go deep into solution architecture technical design. The perfect candidate will need good communication and visualization skills and be a phenomenal teammate with a collaborative mentality!
Drive the evolution of Commercial EMEA Customer Engagement, including applications, integrations, and data flows, in partnership with Product and Platform Owners.
Develop end‑to‑end architecture for strategic solutions that enable customer engagement journeys across markets and channels.
Apply appropriate integration patterns and design approaches (e.g., event‑driven, API‑first) to produce robust and scalable integration designs.
Ensure designs consider internal and external regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, Healthcare Business Integrity) and incorporate security and compliance expectations.
Apply agentic architecture concepts (e.g., orchestration, event-driven interaction, policy/guardrail design) to enable AI‑assisted workflows responsibly within the customer engagement ecosystem.
Evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of proposed solutions and support informed decisions that balance business needs, technology requirements, and cost/benefit outcomes.
Lead and coordinate product architecture boards and ensure architectural decisions, standards, and patterns are documented and communicated for consistent adoption.
Contribute to architecture standards, methodologies, and tools; provide guidance and training to broaden adoption and capability across teams.
As Architect, you will partner with engineering and global IT teams to ensure delivery aligns with the target architecture, standards, and principles, while driving reuse through reference architectures and shared assets. You will lead architectural efforts for large, complex initiatives across multiple technologies and vendors, proactively managing dependencies and outcomes. You will also engage with industry forums, analysts, customers, and peers to bring relevant external insights into architectural direction.
Master's degree in Computer Science (or related field) required, or Bachelor's degree with relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience working in the IT space with broad interest across application data and integration architecture.
Experience working in or with agile teams.
Knowledge of integration patterns, event‑driven architectures, and API management (including REST and GraphQL).
Experience with CRM SAAS platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Veeva).
Strong consulting skills to analyze business requirements and translate them into architecture decisions and roadmaps.
Ability to communicate clearly with audiences at multiple levels, including senior management and technical teams; able to find tradeoffs across stakeholders.
Strong collaboration skills across business teams, IT colleagues, and vendors.
Proficient in English.
Experience in Life Sciences and/or GxP environment.
Hands‑on knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of agile architecture practices (e.g. SAFe).
Experience establishing systems to monitor and improve compliance with architecture standards.
Experience contributing to ROI / TCO tradeoffs and technology investment decisions.
This position may require up to 10% international travel.
