The Respiratory Therapist provides diagnostic, assessment, and therapeutic care for patients with cardiorespiratory disorders in a hyperbaric chamber setting. They also collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to educate patients and their families.
Candidates must have successfully completed an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and hold current registration with the Nova Scotia Regulator of Respiratory Therapy. Additionally, one year of experience and current BCLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Under the direction of the Manager, the Respiratory Therapist applies their knowledge, skills and judgment in the provision of diagnostic, assessment and therapeutic modalities to assist in the management of cardiorespiratory and related disorders in collaboration with the physician and other health care professionals. The Respiratory Therapist also participates in education of patients, families and other health care providers.
