Develop electrical designs, engineering drawings, and deliverables to support capital and expense projects for refinery and terminal facilities. Provide construction and commissioning support, perform field verifications, and collaborate with vendors and consultants as an Owner's Engineer.
Requires a diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering Technology and at least 8 years of electrical design experience in an industrial environment. Proficiency in AutoCAD and the ability to work in field conditions wearing full PPE are essential.
As a Senior Drafting & Design Technologist, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support capital and expense projects through the development of electrical designs, engineering deliverables, and construction support. Your goal will be to deliver safe, reliable, and fit-for-purpose electrical solutions by contributing to project estimates, equipment procurement, and commissioning activities. Your success will be demonstrated through the quality of your design outputs, effective construction and commissioning support, and support of operational excellence across Irving Oil’s refinery and terminal facilities.
