We manage some of Nigeria's most complex and high-profile facilities. We operate across soft and hard FM, engineering services, and project delivery — and we are just getting started. What we need now is a commercial leader who can turn that story into a pipeline, and that pipeline into long-term, high-value client relationships.
This is not a traditional marketing role. It is a revenue leadership position for someone who understands that in a services business, the best business development happens through relationships, reputation, and relentless follow-through — not just campaigns and decks.
The Role
As CSMO, you will be the commercial engine of IFS Group — owning the full revenue growth 20X20X20 mandate target across business development, marketing, client acquisition, and account expansion.
You will:
› Own and drive the Group's revenue growth strategy — setting targets, building pipelines, and closing high-value FM and engineering service contracts
› Identify and convert new business opportunities across government, commercial real estate, hospitality, oil & gas, industrial, and infrastructure sectors
› Build and expand a portfolio of long-term senior client relationships — becoming the trusted commercial face of IFS
› Lead the development of compelling, commercially intelligent proposals, bids, and capability presentations that win and retain significant contracts
› Design and execute a market positioning and brand strategy that differentiates IFS clearly from competitors
› Work in close partnership with the COO and Group leadership to align commercial commitments with operational delivery capacity

Who We're Looking For
› A proven commercial leader with a track record of winning, growing, and retaining significant service contracts — not just managing accounts, but building them
› Deep understanding of the Nigerian FM, engineering services, real estate, or infrastructure market — you know who the buyers are and how they procure
› Highly networked at senior and executive level across corporate, government, and institutional sectors in Nigeria
› Equally comfortable developing strategy and closing deals — vision and hustle in equal measure
› Commercially intelligent and financially literate — able to structure deals, read contracts, and price competitively without underselling the business
› A compelling communicator who earns trust quickly and maintains it at the most senior client level
› Proficient in CRM platforms and data-driven pipeline management
Experience & Background
› 10+ years in sales leadership, business development, or commercial management — 5+ years at senior or director level
› Proven experience in facility management, engineering services, real estate, construction, or B2B services
› Track record of winning complex, multi-year service contracts at significant value
› Experience building and managing commercial teams
› Strong proposal writing, presentation, and bid management capability
› MBA or relevant post-graduate qualification — an advantage
