The Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for Commercial Finance Manager / Senior Commercial Finance Analyst to join our iNova Thailand team on a full-time basis.

The Commercial Finance Manager / Senior Analyst is the finance business partner to Sales and Marketing, accountable for turning commercial activity into profitable growth through rigorous gross-to-net (GTN) management, trade investment governance, pricing and profitability analytics, and decision support on customer/channel strategy and new product development.

Role levelling: this position may be appointed at Senior Analyst or Manager level. At Senior Analyst level, the role focuses on building the core GTN/trade analytics, packs and models with strong ownership of deliverables. At Manager level, the role additionally leads cross-functional governance, influences senior stakeholders, and drives capability uplift and process standardisation across the market.

The role works closely with FP&A and Commercial leadership to align commercial plans to a single forecast and to strengthen decision-making through consistent performance insights and disciplined investment choices. Scope and tooling will evolve over time; initial focus is on building repeatable reporting, GTN/trade foundations and governance before scaling automation and advanced analytics.

The role requires strong analytical and modelling skills, the confidence to challenge assumptions, and the ability to influence cross-functional leaders with clear, practical recommendations.

Key accountabilities and performance indicators include:

1. Business Partnering & Commercial Decision Support

• Act as the finance business partner to Sales and Marketing; embed in key forums (JBP, demand reviews, category/trade planning) and provide fact-based challenge.
• Build and maintain customer and channel profitability views (net revenue, GTN, gross margin, contribution) to guide investment choices and portfolio focus.
• Support Joint Business Planning with key customers (where applicable) through scenario modelling (volume, price/mix, promo mechanics) and negotiation guardrails.
• Translate analysis into clear recommendations (what to stop/start/scale) and track value delivery post-decision.
  
  

2. Planning, Forecasting & Performance (Commercial Lens)

• Own the commercial inputs to the forecast and budget (price, promo, trade terms, customer plans), ensuring alignment to a single FP&A-owned forecast (“one number”).
• Lead monthly commercial performance deep-dives (net sales, GTN, margin, mix) and provide forward-looking actions to close gaps.
• Partner FP&A on standard templates, cadence, and governance; escalate risks (forecast bias, uncontrolled spend, data quality) early with options.

3. GTN, Trade Investment & A&P Effectiveness

• Own the GTN architecture and waterfall for the market (discounts, rebates, claims, listings, promo spend), including robust accruals, ageing, and quarterly reconciliations.
• Evaluate trade investments and promotions with clear ROI/incrementality logic; recommend reallocations to improve customer/channel profitability.
• Establish and enforce trade spend governance: guardrails, approvals, post-event review, and (where needed) spot audits for compliance and leakage.
• In line with best-in-class FMCG/CHC practice, consolidate visibility of commercial spend (Trade + A&P) and assess effectiveness by channel/market; support zero-based reviews where applicable.

4. Reporting, Insights & Analytics Enablement

• Deliver a clear monthly commercial performance pack (net sales, GTN, margin, mix, trade/A&P) with commentary that drives decisions, not just reporting.
• Partner with FP&A / Commercial Excellence (where applicable) to build scalable dashboards and standard definitions (customer hierarchy, promo types, GTN buckets) to reduce manual work.
• Create “what changed and why” insights (price, volume, mix, promo, terms) and quantify value-at-stake and recommended actions.

5. Ways of Working, Controls & Capability Building

• Raise financial literacy across Commercial teams (GTN, margin, ROI, customer P&L) through simple tools, training and coaching.
• Drive continuous improvement in data quality, controls and process discipline (accrual timeliness, claims validation, governance cadence).
• Support capability building and continuous improvement in commercial finance ways of working (e.g., stronger GTN visibility, better forecast inputs, clearer trade ROI measurement, stakeholder adoption).

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline; CPA/CA/CIMA/MBA is a plus.
• Experience in Commercial Finance / FP&A / Revenue Growth Management / Trade Finance within FMCG, Consumer Healthcare (CHC) or Pharma.
• Typical experience: Senior Analyst appointment is typically 3-6+ years; Manager appointment is typically 6-10+ years in Commercial Finance / FP&A / RGM / Trade Finance (final level will be determined based on experience and role scope).
• Strong understanding of gross-to-net (GTN), trade spend mechanics, accruals/claims, and customer/channel profitability.
• Excellent modelling and scenario planning skills (price/promo/volume, mix and margin bridges, business case evaluation).
• Advanced Excel; Power BI (or similar). Comfortable with self-serve SQL extracts from Snowflake (or similar cloud data warehouse); Python/R a plus for automation and analysis.
• Able to influence and challenge constructively; comfortable working in cross-functional teams and managing ambiguity.
