About the role: The Work Order Clerk supports manufacturing operations by managing work orders, material transactions, and production-related data within the ERP system. As part of the Inventory Control team, this role ensures accurate tracking of raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods as they move through compounding, filling, assembly, and kitting.

This position plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, material traceability, and production data integrity, ensuring alignment between Inventory, Production, and Supply Chain. The role will be fully on-site at our Mesa, AZ location.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Create, release, and close work orders in the ERP system in alignment with production schedules.
• Ensure work orders reflect accurate bill of materials (BOMs), quantities, and routing steps.
• Coordinate with Inventory and Production to ensure materials are available and properly allocated.
• Track work order progress and update status throughout the production lifecycle.
• Process and record material issuance, consumption, and returns tied to work orders.
• Ensure accurate movement of inventory between raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system data.
• Support inventory accuracy by maintaining clean and consistent data entry practices.
• Prepare and distribute batch records and production packets to support manufacturing activities.
• Collect completed documentation and verify accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain organized and audit-ready records in accordance with GMP and internal standards.
• Maintain accurate and timely data entry within ERP/WMS systems.
• Support system updates related to work orders, inventory adjustments, and production reporting.
• Flag inconsistencies or errors in work orders, inventory usage, or production data.
• Partner with Inventory Control, Production, and Supply Chain to ensure smooth material flow.
• Communicate material shortages, discrepancies, or delays impacting production.
• Support scheduling adjustments by updating work orders and inventory records accordingly.
• Ensure all transactions and documentation support lot tracking and full traceability of materials and finished goods.
• Follow GMP, FDA, and internal quality standards for documentation and inventory handling.
• Support audits and inspections by maintaining accurate and accessible records.
• Other duties as assigned 

Education and Experience: 

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in inventory control, manufacturing support, or data entry within an operations environment.
• Experience working with ERP or inventory management systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
• Basic understanding of inventory flow and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
