The Acute Registered Nurse is responsible for providing specialized dialysis care to patients in acute or post-acute settings. They must ensure a safe environment that respects patient privacy, dignity, and well-being while collaborating with co-workers to complete duties.
Candidates must be a Registered Professional Nurse with current state licensure and at least 12 months of nursing experience, including 3 months in hemodialysis. BLS and CPR certifications are required, with critical care or home dialysis experience preferred.
The Acute Registered Nurse must demonstrate familiarity with dialysis and hospital emergency procedures and the knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary to assume the responsibility of caring for the dialysis patient in the acute or post-acute care setting. This position exercises a knowledge of patient rights and ensures an atmosphere that allows for the privacy, dignity, and well-being of all patients in a safe, secure environment. This individual cooperates and works together with all co-workers to plan and complete job duties with applicable supervisory direction, including exercising job-appropriate judgment.
