The Scrub Assistant maintains an aseptic environment and provides essential services to surgical patients under the guidance of an RN. Responsibilities also include assisting with the transportation of patients.
A High School Diploma or GED is required, while completion of a Scrub Tech program and previous experience are preferred. BCLS certification must be obtained within the provisionary period.
