The Vehicle Engineer will maintain and update in-house software while reverse engineering automotive binary files and mapping calibration parameters. They will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct simulations and ensure seamless software-hardware integration.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in computer science or electrical engineering with proficiency in C#, C++, and Python. Experience with automotive programming tools, assembly languages, and software validation is required.

HP Tuners LLC is a global leader in the automotive aftermarket, developing hardware and software for vehicle calibration. HP Tuners is seeking a Vehicle Engineer to join our team onsite in Buffalo Grove, IL.
The Vehicle Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, updating, and adding vehicle support and features to VCM Suite, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to conduct simulations and hands-on testing to improve software functionality and efficiency.
This position reports to the Associate Director of Vehicle Engineering.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $80,000 – $90,000, with actual pay determined including factors such as location, skills, experience, and other relevant considerations. This position also qualifies for a discretionary bonus and a complete benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage, paid time off (PTO), and a 401(k) program with employer matching.
