Responsibilities

Provide essential daily living support, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility assistance for clients in their homes. Perform housekeeping duties and ensure client safety during transportation and emergency situations.

Requirements

Requires at least one year of experience in healthcare or in-home care, a valid driver's license, and reliable transportation. Candidates must be non-smokers and be willing to undergo training for Hoyer lifts and urinary catheterization.

Caregiver

We’re looking for a compassionate and dependable Caregiver to provide exceptional support to our clients in their homes. In this role, you’ll assist with daily activities while helping individuals maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life.

Currently hiring part-time or full-time caregivers to work in W. Lansing by Horrocks.
Hours looking to staff are:
Mon thru Fri 8 am to 4 pm
Mon thru Fri 4 pm to 12 am
Must be able to work every other weekend.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal hygiene assistance for clients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
  • Remind clients to take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
  • Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
  • Assist with personal care and hygiene, plan and prepare meals and help with physical therapy exercises
  • Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
  • Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
  • Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary
Job Information
    • Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
    • Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
    • Prior experience in a healthcare, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
    • Willingness to enforce health and safety standard.
    • Must be comfortable driving clients van and transporting her in it.
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day.
    • Hoyer experience or willing/capable of training.
    • Urinary Catheterization experience or knowledge or willing/capable training.
    • Non-Smoker
    • No long or acrylic nails
