The Opportunity

Join us as a Factory Operative at our Ashington factory, where you’ll be a key part of a dynamic, multi-skilled production team. Working on a rotating 2 shift pattern, you’ll help produce high-quality concrete products in a collaborative and safety-focused environment. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, contribute to a high-performing team, and be part of a business committed to excellence.

• Operate and maintain automated block-making equipment and mobile plant, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance.

• Support the shift supervisor in achieving productivity and quality targets, contributing to team success.

• Diagnose and resolve production-related issues to minimise downtime and improve operational efficiency.

• Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards, demonstrating a commitment to a zero-harm workplace.

• Work to ISO 9001 and 14001 standards, maintaining high levels of productivity, housekeeping, and equipment maintenance.

Who You Are

You’re a proactive and enthusiastic team player with the skills and mindset needed to excel in a fast-paced production environment. Here’s what makes you a great fit:

• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a flexible approach to supporting team goals.

• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and meet deadlines in a high-pressure setting.

• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor, including lifting and carrying.

• Experience operating and maintaining automated equipment and mobile plant is desirable.

• A health and safety-focused individual committed to maintaining a safe and compliant workplace.

• Forklift driving experience is desirable not mandatory.
