The Surgical Technician is responsible for preparing the operating suite with necessary equipment and assisting physicians by passing instruments during surgery. They also handle patient positioning, draping, and the processing of laboratory specimens.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma and a current Surgical Technician Certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.

North Alabama Medical Center is a Certified Chest Pain center with a team of cardiologists available 24/7 and is recognized as a Primary Stroke Center of Excellence by the American Heart/American Stroke Association. North Alabama Medical Center’s 24-hour emergency department serves as the primary referral center for major trauma cases in Northwest Alabama.
