The Assessment Specialist facilitates the initial response to service requests, conducts patient evaluations, and determines the appropriate level of care. They are responsible for managing admission paperwork, insurance pre-certification, and monitoring patient conditions in a behavioral health setting.
Candidates must hold a master's degree in social work or counseling, or be a graduate of an accredited professional nursing program with relevant licensure. Required certifications include CPR and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI), with a preference for experience in psychiatric and chemical dependency care.
