The technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing electric vehicles and charging stations to ensure maximum fleet uptime. This includes performing OEM-approved testing, troubleshooting electrical systems, and maintaining detailed repair documentation.
Requires at least 5 years of experience in electrical or heavy-duty fleet repair with advanced diagnostic skills. Within 12 months, the candidate must obtain a CDL, 3 ASE certifications, and 4 OEM certifications.

The Field Service Technician is enthusiastic about EVs and a self-starter who will work closely with customers to ensure that Highland’s electric vehicles and charging stations are working properly and that buses can get students to where they need to be. No day will look the same, but responsibilities will include performing original equipment manufacturer-approved testing, repairs, and troubleshooting customer issues.
Highland will provide the relevant training to repair all local equipment including basic electric vehicle functions, Level 2 EV chargers to DC Fast Chargers, and communications equipment.
