Overview
Registered Nurse – House Supervisor, Newark, New York. This travel assignment begins 08/25/2026 for a travel - temporary assignment at a 180-bed skilled nursing facility providing long-term care and rehabilitation. The RN will serve as charge/supervisor on off shifts (evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) with a weekly schedule of 36 hours. The shift is four 9-hour night shifts. Weekly pay ranges from $2,215 to $2,313 per week, with no guaranteed hours. The facility operates across multiple units serving geriatrics, with common diagnoses including dementia, diabetes, cardiovascular and orthopedic conditions.

Responsibilities
- Provide charge/lead nursing oversight on assigned shifts; mentor and coach staff to meet performance standards.
- Coordinate patient care across units, ensuring care plans are implemented and updated as needed; monitor for safety and quality.
- Oversee clinical tasks including IV starts and maintenance, PICC line care, wound vacs, tube feeds, nephrostomy tubes, indwelling catheters, and colostomy care.
- Enforce infection control, isolation procedures, and incident reporting; support code management and emergency preparedness.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (PT, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, unit secretary) to optimize patient outcomes; participate in de-escalation and safety initiatives.
Requirements
- Active New York RN license in good standing (in-hand to submit)
- EPIC charting experience required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years RN experience with prior charge/lead experience
- Ability to work in a geriatrics/long-term care setting and float across units as needed
- Location requirement: Candidates must be located more than 75 miles from the facility; locals within 75 miles are not eligible
