Responsibilities

The therapist will provide mental health and substance abuse services, including intake assessments, individual and group therapy, and the creation of individualized treatment plans. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate patient documentation and performing regular patient outreach.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a valid license or limited permit such as LMHC, LMSW, LCSW, MHC-LP, or MSW-LP. Additionally, at least one year of experience in an OMH/OASAS environment and fluency in Russian are required.

Hands On Health Associates, LLC is a community focused outpatient behavioral health clinic serving the diverse and resilient residents of New York. We provide culturally responsive care to individuals and families navigating mental health challenges, trauma, drug dependence, housing instability, and other complex social stressors. We offer supervision toward LMHC, LMSW and LCSW licensure, a flexible schedule with minimal weekend work, and a genuine commitment to work/life balance. Job Summary
We are looking for a full-time Mental Health Therapist (Licensed or Limited Permit) who will provide mental health and substance abuse services to clients to enhance their recovery. In this role, you will diagnose and treat psychological disorders, teach communication skills, assist patients in addressing dysfunctional behaviors, and guide them through crises. If you are an experienced therapist passionate about providing high-quality care and mental health solutions, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities
  • Perform intake assessments
  • Provide mental health therapy for individuals, couples, families, and children
  • Create individualized treatment plans for each client
  • Use evidence-based treatment methods to facilitate group and individual treatments
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plan
  • Perform regular patient outreach
  • Adhere to all facility and licensing standards
Qualifications
  • LMHC, LMSW, LCSW, MHC-LP or MSW-LP (Required)
  • 1+ years experience in OMH/OASAS environment (Required)
  • Familiarity with both Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Treatment (Strongly Preferred)
  • EHR documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized
  • Russian Fluent
