The Hygiene Assistant supports the dental hygienist by preparing treatment rooms and assisting during oral exams and cleanings. They are also responsible for sterilizing instruments, taking x-rays, and educating patients on oral health.
Candidates need 1-3 years of experience as a Dental Hygiene or Dental Assistant and a high school diploma or equivalent. X-ray certification may be required based on state laws, and additional dental assistant certification is a plus.
